Scope
Journal of Hypertension Research (JHR) is a recently launched international journal which publishes open access, peer-reviewed manuscripts focused on translational research in hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases and risk conditions.
Publication is free of charge for the authors and access to the articles is free of charge for the readers.

File formats
Main document: Microsoft word (DOC, DOCX), Rich text format (RTF). PDF format is NOT acceptable.
Image files: at least 300 dpi at final printing size TIF (LZW compression) or high-quality JPG files (at least 90% quality). PDF files are NOT acceptable.
Table documents: Microsoft word (DOC, DOCX), Rich text format (RTF). PDF format or image file formats are NOT acceptable.
Manuscript text
Files should be formatted on A4 page, double spaced.
Manuscripts should be divided into the following sections (in this order):
Title page (title of the article, full names, institutional addresses and email addresses for all authors, corresponding author)
- The corresponding author must be marked by an asterisk, and should list full mailing address, telephone/fax numbers, and e-mail address
Abstract (max. 250 words)
Keywords (max. 10)
Introduction
Material and Methods
Results
Discussion
Conclusions
Acknowledgements (technical help or funding)
- please obtain permission from people mentioned
Conflict of interests (financial or non-financial)
- even if there are no conflicts of interest, a statement should be included. Please discuss with the Editorial office if you are not sure

References formatting
References must be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text. Insert references in text, tables and legends in square brackets (e.g. [1], [2-6], etc.). The reference list is a separate section at the end of the manuscript. You are encouraged to use a bibliographic management software such as Endnote™, Zotero™ or Reference manager™.

For up to six authors, list all authors. For more than six authors, please list the first five and 'et al.'.
Figures and tables legends
Figures and tables legends should be self-explanatory and should make sense without reference to the text. Explain symbols, arrows or other marks used to identify parts of the tables or figures in the legends.
Use of previously published figures or tables is not permitted without written consent from the copyright holder (which needs to be submitted with the manuscript). Original source must be acknowledged.
Supporting information
Authors are encouraged to supply large datasets/tables as supplementary files. Other examples of supplementary files include figures, movie and audio files, 3D structures, and other related multimedia files. Supplementary files should be cited in the article text, and legends should be provided.
No Article Publication Charge
Manuscripts submitted and accepted for publication in JHR will be published as open access articles, immediately free to read, download and share. The open access publication is free of charge.
Manuscript proofs
The corresponding author will receive an email message containing a link to download the proof, as a PDF (portable document format) file. Acrobat Reader or other compatible software will be required to view this file.
Publication Ethics
JHR fully adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The research being reported should have been conducted in an ethical and responsible manner and should comply with all relevant legislation.
• Researchers should present their results clearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification or inappropriate data manipulation.
• Researchers should strive to describe their methods clearly and unambiguously so that their findings can be confirmed by others.
• Researchers should adhere to publication requirements that submitted work is original, is not plagiarised, and has not been published elsewhere.
• Authors should take collective responsibility for submitted and published work.
• The authorship of research publications should accurately reflect individuals’ contributions to the work and its reporting.
• Funding sources and relevant conflicts of interest should be disclosed.
